Modes

Play the notes of one scale, but START somewhere else, and you get a different sound. These rotations are called MODES.

You already know one: A minor is C major started from its 6th note. Every degree works — C major from D (dorian) sounds jazzy-minor, from G (mixolydian) sounds bluesy-major.

This level asks you to play a scale you know, starting from a given degree, ending after 7 notes. Same keys, new starting point — keep the original scale in mind and just rotate.

You do not need the mode names yet; the skill is thinking of a scale as a LOOP you can enter anywhere.

A minor started from its 3rd (C): the same keys as C major.
